About the Diploma
If you are passionate about tourism, enjoy working with people and would like to build your career in a dynamic and international environment, this Higher Diploma is your gateway to the hospitality industry.
It is the only official Vocational Education qualification specifically focused on careers in hotels. An officially accredited programme authorised by the Basque Government, with a duration of two years, providing comprehensive training across all areas of tourist accommodation management.
This qualification prepares you for roles such as front desk, reservations or events coordination — key departments in the daily operation of a hotel — and enables you to progress towards supervisory and management positions.
At EIDE, teaching is highly practical. From day one, students work with real industry-based scenarios, ensuring that upon graduation you are confident, autonomous and fully operational from your very first day on the job.
“The only official Vocational qualification specialised in hotels, offering practical training from day one and backed by decades of experience preparing tourism professionals.”
In addition, the programme includes guaranteed Dual Training for all students from the first year, carried out in leading 4-star and 5-star hotels.

Dual Training is one of the programme’s key distinguishing features. All students are guaranteed in-company training in hotels from the first year.
Thanks to EIDE’s long-standing reputation and prestige, we maintain established partnership agreements with leading hotels in Bilbao and Biscay, the vast majority of which are 4-star and 5-star properties. This ensures that every student completes their training in high-level, real professional environments.
The structure is as follows:
• 3 weeks of Dual Training at the end of the first year
• 12 weeks of Dual Training at the end of the second year
The strong practical preparation students receive at the school allows them to join hotels with confidence and autonomy from day one. As a result, some students are offered summer positions after the first year and, upon completing the second year, a large percentage receive job offers from the hotels where they completed their training.
Those who choose to continue their careers in other establishments do so with a clear advantage: their CV includes experience in high-category hotels, facilitating immediate entry into the job market.

During the Higher Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management, students receive comprehensive training in professional hotel reservation and management software.
At EIDE, we work with Opera PMS (Property Management System) by Oracle, one of the most widely implemented and internationally recognised solutions in the hospitality industry.
Opera is the system used by major hotel chains such as Marriott, Meliá and Barceló, allowing our students to train with the same tools they will encounter in professional hotel environments.
Mastering this software provides a real competitive advantage: when students join their roles, they are already familiar with the working environment and can perform confidently from day one.
“Learn using the same software trusted by leading international hotel chains.”
A key tool that ensures our students are among the best prepared for careers in the hospitality industry.
