Chef course

This course is aimed at gastronomy lovers who want to become professional cooks or chefs. it is a very practical course, focused on the acquisition of main competences. Thanks to this, students can work as professional once they finish this course. The maximum number of students is 15, which allows to make the most of the course.

Diploma
  • "Professional Qualification Level 2".

This Diploma is held by the Department of Employment of the Basque Goverment and the Spanish Ministry of Employment.

Program.

The course lasts 820 hours and is held over 7 months, from January to July. During this period of time, students are trained in EIDE's own professional kitchen and restaurant. At the end of the course they do 80-hour interniships in hotels and restaurants.

(1)This modules are practical and held in EIDE's professional kitchen
Students are trained to be cooks or chefs and develop their professional activity in hospitality businesses of all sizes, both restaurants and hotels as well as managing their own restaurant.
The course is held in Spanish. Minimum Spanish level required: B1. Students without knowledge or with lower levels of Spanish will be accepted. Those students should do a previous Spanish course at EIDE.

Students who finish this course and who already have a High School certificate or the equivalent can enter the High Studies in Hospitality Managment at EIDE, held in Spanish or English language
